Vivid, Vibrant and Long Lasting Kenyan Roses

Recognized as one of the biggest suppliers of cut flowers in the European Union, Kenya is known to be the leading fresh flower exporting country. Being the most developed sector, Kenya is accounted for about 40% of horticultural exports in Africa.   Apart from Lake Naivasha where the fresh cut flowers particularly roses are most dominant, places like Kinangop, Nakuku, Limuru, Athi River, Thika, Kaimbu, and Eldoret also play a huge role in the flower farming industry. While the soil around Lake Naivasha is sandy with excellent drainage system, Limuru and Eldoret have much cooler climates which is the perfect habitat for certain types of flowers, especially their famous fresh cut roses to grow in. Thus, the cultivation of flowers in Kenya is a vastly specified trade as well as capital-intensive. With the high-priced infrastructure for the production of floricultural products per hectare, the transaction of cut flowers has become a major element of international trade in horticultural industry. Besides, the floral business has formed a major sector by conquering more than half of the fresh horticultural exports in Kenya. The exporters from Kenya are able to satisfy their clients with high quality roses in a timely manner all year round. Ranging between October and May as the main export season, the major markets are mainly in the European Union, primarily Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and France, that govern the excellence in standards of the floral industry in Kenya. The flowers are also sold locally by street retailers and floriculture stores, mostly in Nairobi and Mombasa. Red Lands RosesRed Lands RosesRed Lands RosesRed Lands Fram RosesRed Lands Roses...

Sensational Spring Blooms And Snowy Winter Wonderland

With every passing of a season, we go through changes in our environment and the manner we carry our lives, our leisure, our cuisines and in some parts of the world, even our livelihood. In regions around the equator, including Malaysia, seasons are usually designated with the dry weather followed by the monsoons.   For many, scenes of bountiful colourful blooms reminiscent of spring in the temperate lands and white powdery snow sparkling like gems on the ground in a winter wonderland are only enjoyed by looking at beautiful photos or scenic backgrounds in movies or travelogues. Experiencing the climate changing four times in a year seems far-fetched, a feeling normally savoured by those who travel the world. However, visitors to the 2015 Royal FLORIA Putrajaya can look forward to be fascinated by astonishing gardens that depict spring in its utmost colourful array with mesmerizing floral splendour, cool winter breezes and snowy panorama. The 2015 Royal FLORIA Putrajaya Flower & Garden Festival will, for the first time feature two new fantastic attractions, the Spring and Winter Gardens. These gardens feature various trappings reminiscent of spring and winter while visitors get a close to life experience of spring and winter seasons. It will be an experience of a lifetime, and there will be plenty of opportunities for photography to freeze this experience for posterity. The Spring Garden at Royal FLORIA Putrajaya displays nine different spring flowers laid out in specially prepared/landscaped flower beds, enclosed in a circular garden 20 meters wide. The garden will be partially encircled by a screen projecting spring sights accompanied by beautiful sounds of spring. Visitors...
