Floral Design – Year End Knowledge Building

As 2015 curtains is drawing to a close, what better way to prepare oneself for the dawn of 2016 with some beneficial knowledge building exercise. Totally in line with Putrajaya Floria Sdn Bhd (PFSB) principle to inculcate better understanding and proficiency in floral designing, an integral aspect of horticulture appreciation and in collaboration with our smart partner, International Floral Design & Education Association (IFD) Malaysia is organising a competition cum demonstration program this 15th – 16th December at the Glass House Seputeh, Kuala Lumpur. 2015 Royal FLORIA Putrajaya Flower and Garden Festival Conclusion

After nine colourful and event filled days, the 2015 Royal FLORIA Putrajaya Flower and Garden Festival came to a glorious conclusion. The eighth edition of festival, decorated with several firsts, is recognized as the most successful since the festival began in 2007. Royal FLORIA Putrajaya has witnessed tremendous growth since its inception and for 2015, the festival featured 400,000 flower and garden exhibits from many different species, cultivars and ornamental plants spread across the 11.2 hectare festival site.   This year festival featured more than 300 activities which thrilled visitors and participants alike, many of whom stuck around the festival site long after closing hours. The Spring and Winter Gardens proved to be the most popular attractions and visitors waited in line patiently for more than an hour to enter and take in the unique sights on show. The festival was held over the school holidays and this proved to be a positive factor providing vacationing families and students a healthy and worthwhile destination during the holidays. The organizer of the festival, Putrajaya Corporation, was also generous to charge nominal entrance fees of RM5 for adults and RM1 for children below 12. It attracted close to one million visitors over the nine day period.   Themed “Tapestry of Hues” the festival presented the Lily as the festival flower, and the flower can be seen over the festival site and many visitors took the opportunity to purchase the flowers for as low as RM15 at the Garden Bazaar and Horticulture Mart. Putrajaya President Urges Waterski Team To Do Their Best To Bring Back Golds From 28th Sea Games

PUTRAJAYA: The national waterski team to the 28th SEA Games was given a treat of visiting the 2015 Royal Floria Putrajaya by the PPj President, Tan Sri Dato‘ Seri (Dr.) Aseh Bin Che Mat after the team was tasked by the PPj President to bring back the golds from Singapore. The young waterski team led by team captain & veteran national skier Alex Yoong trains all year round in Putrajaya’s excellent facilities at the national training centre based at the Marina Putrajaya at prescient 5. Tan Sri Aseh told the team to do their best and the results will be evident for now and for the future as he joined the team and PPj officers for a photo session on the morning of Friday 5th June at his PPj office. After the visit the team visited the 2015 Royal FLORIA Putrajaya Festival nearby and had a tea reception there.
