The Royal Putrajaya FLORIA Loyalty Card or also known as Friends of FLORIA Loyalty Card that was launched today is a tribute to the devoted fans and followers of Royal Putrajaya FLORIA. It offers an exclusive pre-opening preview to Royal Putrajaya FLORIA Festival 2016 for members before it raises its curtains to the general public.
Limited edition Friends of Floria (FOF) membership card was issued in conjunction with our nation’s 58th Independence Day celebration, offers many benefits to members which includes free admission to the Royal Putrajaya FLORIA Festival 2016 and features special discounts from our smart partners and selected dealers and merchants. The first 200 people registered as members of FOF in Anjung Floria from 28 to 31 August 2015 will receive an exclusive gift package of Friends of FLORIA T-shirts and exclusive Royal FLORIA souvenirs, cash vouchers and discounts as well as gifts from our fellow smart partners.
During the launch of the FLORIA Lifestyle programme, Putrajaya Corporation President Datuk Hj. Hashim Hj. Ismail said,
“In addition to being the location of choice for industry operators of floriculture and horticulture as well as landscaping to market their products, such commercial undertakings are also able to generate revenue to PFSB. I am proud of the initiatives taken by PFSB to market products such as compost fertilisers, Floria EM and Floria Grow Advance through FLORIA Garden Centre and branded Royal Putrajaya FLORIA souvenir products through the Galleria D’Floria at the Anjung Floria”.
Organized by the Putrajaya Floria Sdn. Bhd. (PFSB), FLORIA Lifestyle was conceptualised as a Mini FLORIA programme. It was also conceived as a continuation of the success of the Royal Putrajaya FLORIA Festival 2015. The ubiquitous Orchid is chosen to be the themed blossom this time around. Joining the celebration are various landscape and horticultural product vendors, fresh fruits stand from FAMA, handicraft item stalls, e-vendors boutique and with fun activities and other exciting programs throughout the event.
Among the orchids that are on exhibition and for sale are the exceptional Rhyncostylish Lawreacea, a fragrant wild orchid that resembles an insect and only blossoms once a year. In addition, orchids such as Angreacum Lamforde, Beauty, Oncidium, Sharry Baby, Aranda Brogan, Vanda Giant, Mimi Palmer, as well as honorifically named orchids like Dendrobium Ghafar Baba and Dendrobium Dr. Siti Hasmah, are expected to attract visitors, particularly the orchid enthusiast.
In addition, there are also bonsais, topiaries, fruit saplings, terrariums, compost fertilisers and gardening equipment on sale. A petting zoo and veterinary clinics run by the Veterinary Department are also on site. In addition to the promise of fun with family and friends in a garden ambiance, FLORIA Lifestyle also offers attractive prizes for visitors through quizzes and other exciting activities.
FLORIA Lifestyle is designed as a monthly event to attract more people to visit and enliven Anjung Floria and to appreciate the signature garden components enclosed on site such as the China-Malaysia Friendship Garden, Fantasy Garden, Pinwheel Garden, English Garden, Galleria D’Floria, the Royal Gardens and Spa Garden. Anjung Floria is also seen as a strategic and the perfect location for hire to organise various events or programs which may include event organised by the corporate entities or event managers such as, weddings, corporate events, receptions, open houses, family days, commercial filming, video recordings and photography location.
Lifestyle FLORIA will be open to visitors from 28 to 31 August 2015 from 9:30 am - 9:30 pm (Friday - Monday). Admission is free.
