Puan Haslinda Khalid, the Managing Director of PFSB said, “the development of FLORIA on a permanent site will not only help sustain Malaysia’s tourism industry, it bodes well to boost confidence among the private and corporate sectors investors, both local and foreign, thereby adding impetus to the escalating development of Putrajaya and escalating commercial activity.”
“The special interest shown by foreign floriculturists, initially from Kenya and now Ecuador is testimony to this expansion. This represents a positive outcome towards efforts by Putrajaya Corporation and PFSB to consolidate Putrajaya as a permanent fixture in the world’s flower and garden festival calendar, recognised on the same level with other established international flower festivals,” she added.
When interviewed HE Lourdes Puma Puma opined that Royal FLORIA is an excellent idea that combines tourism to promote Putrajaya and to have a destination for people to visit while at the same time combining the possibility to establish strategic relations with other countries.
Visitors enter Anjung Floria via the Floria Avenue, welcoming visitors with a beautification face-lift adorned with enchanting fountains culminating with a picturesque entrance statement featuring large colourful to make up “FLORIA” adjoined by Galleria D’Floria offering a plethora of souvenirs and takeaways from FLORIA for affordable and attractive prices.
