The cat is out of the bag and it’s the Cheshire cat! He’ll be making his enchanted journey to the Magical Wonderland of Royal FLORIA Putrajaya, Malaysia’s premier flower and garden show this coming 27th May – 4th June 2016.

After much secrecy, it was at last revealed by Datuk Seri Hasim Ismail, Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) President and Putrajaya FLORIA (PFSB) Managing Director, Haslinda Khalid on the 3rd February 2016 press briefing.

The enchanting Chrysanthemum flower is selected to be the theme flower for this year’s event.  The showcase gardens were also unveiled and it is designed to enthral visitors with its magical design concepts and utilisation of state-of-the-art technologies.

Visitors will be ushered into the Magical World of FLORIA and be spellbound as they step into the Magical and Mystical Gardens and witness two of the world’s largest and most mystical flowers – the Rafflesia and Corpse flowers, life-sized through hi-tech magic of “magic-mirroring” and 3D holographic like display. Visitors will be shown life-like animation presentation of the plants development up close as one would in the wild. Take a stroll into the fantastic realm of the Mermaids World and ravel in the secrets of the deep as it is revealed on a giant screen of cascading mist. Get excited and indulge ones inner-child in the Candy Courtyard as any child fantasy to run free amidst a garden chock full of confectionaries amongst colourful flowers.


This year we are honouring the Royal House of Johor to be featured as the Royal Garden. It is to ensure the brilliant heritage and traditional facets of the state of Johor are highlighted for public pleasure. The façade of the Johor Grand Palace will be replicated, with its distinctive Anglo-Malay architecture with a semi-circular stage area erected in front of the façade, where Johor cultural performances will be held.

Let the soothing sound of music and the sight of vibrant colours of flowering plants therapeutically heal your weary body and mind in the Musical Garden. Appreciate the delicate and subtle art Bonsai and Su-i-seki and relish to take part in the much loved FLORIA Terrarium Workshop and Display Exhibition. The Cat Pavilion is where proud cat owners will show-off their beloved fur-kids and feline lover can ogle rare and exotic breeds.


As part of our priority commitment to inculcate the love for horticulture and appreciation of nature, we have set a special niche for school kids and universities students to show-off their talents in designing their show gardens. To that end we will specially build showcase entranceway garden installment called “FLORIA School of Magic” and invited a total 60 schools and higher learning institutions to take part and compete in a special school category competition.

In the evening, visitors will also enjoy light shows from bright and colourfully lit decorated boats cruising the Putrajaya Lake during the concurrent event “Magic of the Night” happening at the Marina.

Royal FLORIA Putrajaya will also feature its ever popular Shoppers Bazaar, with myriads of horticulture and gardening wares, arts and crafts products and great delicacies to savour.

Tickets will be available online on March 1st 2016. They are RM7.50 for adults and RM3.50 for children (MyKad); RM22 for adults, RM11 children (Non-Mykad) with an extra RM10.50 (adults), RM5.50 (children) for entrance to the Magical Gardens. With thousands of flowers on display with dozens of display gardens and instalments, hundreds of products on sale and practically non-stop activities in store for the duration of the event, Royal FLORIA Putrajaya is definitely a value for money event for the whole family.
