The School and University Garden Competition would not be complete without the University and School Floral Art Competition.
The University and School Garden and Floral Art Competition provide university, secondary and primary school students’ exposure to creative floral design possibilities. It’s acknowledged that starting hands-on practical knowledge early in childhood education is essential in today’s challenging society. Thus, a drawing, colouring and mixed-media competition for Level 1 and 2 Primary Schools. They will be introduced to various ways of creating floral design pieces with techniques in professional methodologies of flower arrangements.
The University and School Floral Art Competition aims to promote awareness of the natural elements of landscape and the surrounding environment; to introduce to students the beautiful and colourful world of floral art and different types of flowers and materials; to inculcate floral culture and understanding of the relationship of artistic and aesthetic value of floral arts and its related industry; to introduce floral education as an option for knowledge-based professional service; and the sciences behind the beautiful blooms.
